This program is a 104 clock-hour "Certificate" training program and designed for students with little or no filmmaking experience. This "hands-on, learn-by-doing" course teaches students to write, shoot, direct and edit their own short drama, comedy or horror film.  Students learn the craft of filmmaking by shooting their films on weekends. The curriculum consists of screenwriting, pre-production, production (or shooting your film), and post-production (Final Cut Pro). Students will learn to write a screenplay, cast and direct actors, shoot on HD cameras, and edit on Final Cut Pro. Each completed student film is screened at the graduation ceremony. The course is offered in a 12 week evening class or 5 week day class.
Tuition: $ 3990.

The next "Basic Filmmaking Program" begins on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 and meets Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 10 pm for 12 weeks.

During Production, film students will crew on each other's films, in directing, cinemetography, lighting and sound positions. In Post-Production, students will learn how to edit on Final Cut Pro and create sound effects, music and credits.
